The liberal democracies guarantee the freedom of media. The operation mechanism of this system is based on open communication platform which inc-ludes both the positive and negative aspects of social and political reality. The countries in transition are aspiring to succes like the countries with a represen-tative democracy. In this sense, new media is an absolute and pervasive force which imposed itself, in the recent decades, as a power system with great influe-nce, having a major impact on the psychological, economic, political, cultural and educational life of the people. New media can be considered as a revolutio-nary tool for political life in Moldova, which has stimulated the development of new ways of communication and political mobilization; has submitted new forms of direct democracy information; has limited the ability of authoritarian forces to control the flow of information; has de-monopolized the traditional media
