In quality of the successor of the URSS empire, the Russian Federation, for realising the objectives, especialy those of the mentaining in its influential sphere of ex-sovetical space, uses a series of traditional strategies so-called "hard power" such as the military actions (the participation in the military con-flicts from the Republic of Moldova - Transnistia from 1992 and Georgy from 2008); economical santions (Ucraine, Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Bela-rus). In the last time, the administraton from Kremlin realised that the uses of traditional possibilities are not enough to realise the interests. In this context, Russia began the uses of the new strategies or - "soft power", being caracteri-zed by electronic war, intimidation, bribing, propaganda through internet / mass-media (propagandist actions for exemple those from the Baltic states, the acusations of breaking the human rights; the influence of political situation (by supporting some pro-Kremlin parties). This article submits to analyse the strategic size of Russian Federation to promote its interests on the international scene.
