Rezumat | ||||||
The Acad. Mihai Cimpoi shows in his study that Eminescu knew the whole world culture since antiquity to the historical period in which he lived and worked. Having an organicist conception of the world, society and state, he conceived it as an organism, as a unity, similar to that Goethe has spoken of the existence of Weltliteratur. The concentric circles of the national cultures form the Big circle of the world culture, the most representative authors - and their fundamental works - Homer with the Iliad and the Odyssey, from which translates the Rug-vedas, knowing them in the original, Dante, Shakespeare, Goethe, Rafael, Praxiteles and Phidias in plastic arts (all mentioned in the articles’ cycle of Old and new Icons), authors of ancient and classical tragedies, the „popular” writers from all the centuries - express a general intellectual, ethnic and linguistic human fund. Every nation affirms its culture on the great „building scaffolding” (scene) of the humanity, as he says in a publicistic article. |
