Ilie Moromete – the philosopher. A reason. Ilie Moromete, the main character in Moromeţii, Marin Preda’s novel, was said to represent a type of peasant-philosopher. In this article, I have tried to offer an extra proof in order to support this opinion. Thus, I have commented on a sequence from the second volume of Moromeţii, in which
the hero observes a strange fact. This situation is very similar to one of the paradoxes of Zeno of Elea. |
