La 27 iunie 2014,Republica Moldova şi Uniunea Europeană au semnat un Acord de Asociere. Acordul oferă un nou cadru juridic de cooperare şi reprezintă cel mai ambiţios proiect din istoria relaţiilor bilaterale moldo-comunitare. Acordul consfiinţeşte aspiraţiile europene ale Republicii Moldova şi confirmă intenţia părţilor de a dezvolta o relaţie apropiată şi de durată bazată pe valori comune: democraţie, respectarea drepturilor omului şi a libertăţilor fundamentale, supremaţia legii şi a economiei de piaţă. Având drept scop aprofundarea relaţiilor politice şi economice dintre Moldova şi UE, inclusiv integrarea graduală a Republicii Moldova pe piaţa internă a UE, Acordul de asociere prevede instituirea unei Zone de liber schimb aprofundat şi cuprinzător (DCFTA). Parte a DCFTA, drepturile de proprietate intelectuală sunt reflectate pe larg în textul Acordului atât la nivel de standarde asumate, cât şi de mecanisme de asigurare a drepturilor.

On June 27, 2014, the Republic of Moldova and the European Union signed an Association Agreement. The agreement provides a new legal framework for cooperation and is the most ambitious project in the history of the Moldovan-Community bilateral relations. The agreement enshrines Moldova's European aspirations and con rms parties’ intention to develop a close and sustained relationship based on shared values: democracy, observation of human rights and fundamental freedoms, rule of law and market economy. Aiming to strengthen political and economic relations between Moldova and the EU, including the gradual integration of Moldovan economy into the EU domestic market, the Association Agreement provides for the establishment of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA). Part of the DCFTA, intellectual property rights are widely re€ ected in the text of the Agreement both at the level of applied standards and right enforcement mechanisms.

27 июня 2014 года Республика Молдова и Европейский Союз подписали Соглашение об ассоциации. Документ предусматривает новую правовую базу сотрудничества и является самым амбициозным проектом в истории двусторонних отношений между Молдовой и ЕС. Соглашение закрепляет европейские устремления Республики Молдова и подтверждает намерения сторон развивать тесные и долгосрочные отношения, основанные на общих ценностях: демократии, уважении прав человека и основных свобод, верховенстве права и рыночной экономике. Нацеленное на укрепление политических и экономических отношений между Молдовой и ЕС, а также на постепенную интеграцию Республики Молдова во внутренний рынок ЕС, Соглашение об ассоциации предусматривает создание Углубленной и всеобъемлющей зоны свободной торговли (DCFTA). Являясь частью DCFTA права интеллектуальной собственности широко отражены в тексте Соглашения, как на уровне применяемых стандартов, так и на уровне механизмов обеспечения прав.
