Power has a great importance in the study and analysis of geopolitical phenomena,being one of the elements that regulate relationships between geopolitical actors. Relationships of power are influenced by major or vital interests of the actors, whose promotion depends on the power tools. There is a conditioned relationship between power and its tools, namely that the first generates the second, and this reconfigures the relationships between the geopolitical actors. It should be noted that power tools are the main driving force that generates changes in the hierarchy of power at local, regional and global level. Therefore, the issue of power is strongly linked to the potentiality of the states in supporting and promotion of their interests, by shaping in the desired direction of the external environment and by relationship of interaction, thus the geopolitical actors succeed to achieve their goals, causing changes in the behavior of other actors.
