The geopolitical position defines the place of a player in the equation of power, especially in relationships with other actors, which should not be confused with its geographical position. The first one is defined in the spectrum of relationships between actors, which can usually be neglected by geography, while the second one is defined by the state placement on the globe. If the geographical position is static, the geopolitical one is described by a high degree of dynamism that can be influenced by a number of objective and subjective factors, among which the political will and interest have a decisive place. The geopolitical position of a country sometimes changes slow, other times very quickly, depending on the dynamics of the power relations of a state with the neighbors or with current power holders, which might be at a greater distance.
