Rezumat

The article examines one of the most prevalent approaches to the phenomenon of bureaucracy – the Weberian approach. This approach is insufficiently studied by the national scientific literature, but continues to be debated in Western literature from different perspectives. This is because bureaucracy is manifested in contemporary society through its various forms: bureaucracy as particular type of social organization, bureaucracy as the political elite, bureauracy as restricted interest groups, bureaucracy as an administrative system, bureaucracy as functional apparatus, etc., a fact which denotes different characteristics of bureaucracy as a complex phenomenon of society. Therefore, this phenomenon continues to cause great interest from researchers, starting with Max Weber, the founder of the political sociology of the 20th Century. A special focus is given to the analyzing the bureaucratic phenomenon from the Weberian ideal-type approach. Similarly, it highlights several types(models) for bureaucracy analysis. This divergence of opinions is caused by the fact that bureaucracy, as an immanent phenomenon of modern society, is analyzed differently by the authors, based on their perspective approaches. The author concludes that, despite the limitations and prospects of bureaucracy development, this phenomenon is a necessity for undertaking efficient work management for a state which fulfills certain functions.
