This study resumes a discussion on the meanings of the concepts: „modernism” and „modernity”. Indeed Adrian Marino noted that modernism includes (absorbs) and overcomes, by extension, the idea of modern. And this family of concepts, maintaining confusion, perpetuates - inevitably – an „abusive and explanatory” synonymy. We should note that there is a tendency of «eternal modernism”, including the sphere of a new idea (from the current to fashion) and, on the other hand, the concept in question constantly changes its contents, ending by denying itself, spraying itself into a „suite of modernisms”. Between these concepts there are many mutual relations and interferences, sparking a multitude of reactions so that, there is noted „modernizing pluralism” and, consequently, multiple, alternatives modernisms with different speeds etc., on the basis of a tendential modernism. There is also noted failed modernism.
