In her study, A Labyrinth of Mirrors. Highlights for the Poetics of Meta- transitivity, Catrinel Popa makes a re-assessment of contemporary poetry through the concept of meta-transitivity which enables double integrative perception of contradictory concepts such as mimesis/poesis, fictional/real, nature/convention, subject/object, transitive/reflective, epic/lyric etc., currently used to analyze poetry. As current poetry is mimetic and non-mimetic, ambiguous, false transitive etc., the concept of meta-transitivity is recommended as the most appropriate to understand this poetry. The study demonstrates erudition, solid theoretical basis as well as personal intelligent reading of poetry.
