The article analyzes the pros and cons of European and Eurasian integration of the Republic of Moldova. The author considers that Moldova, by virtue of geographical reasons, and its historic past, doomed to friendly cooperation with the West and the East. We would like that this should to be understood in the first place, by all citizens of Moldova, as well as by our partners in the West and the East. Whatever our integration selection, we will always strive to ensure that the territory of Moldova was not a confrontation but a convergence of East and West.

În articol se analizează argumentele pro şi contra ale integrării europene şi euro-asiatice a Republicii Moldova. Autorul consideră că Moldova, în baza specificului geografie şi trecutului său istoric, este condamnată la o cooperarea amicală și cu Occidentul si cu Orientul, exprimându-și dorința ca acest lucru să fie înțeles și conștientizat, în primul rând, de către toţi cetăţenii Republicii Moldova, precum şi de partenerii noştri din Vest şi din Est. Oricare ar fi opțiunea noastră de integrare, ne vom strădui întotdeauna pentru a asigura, ca teritoriul Republicii Moldova să nu fie o arie de confruntare, dar o punte de convergenţă dintre Est şi Vest.

В статье анализируются плюсы и минусы европейской и евразийской интеграции Республики Молдова. Автор считает что Молдова, в силу географических причин и своего исторического прошлого, обречена на дружеское сотрудничество и с Западом, и с Востоком. Хотелось бы, чтобы это поняли, в первую очередь, все граждане Молдовы, а также наши партнеры на Западе и на Востоке. Каким бы ни был наш интеграционный выбор, мы всегда будем стремиться к тому, чтобы территория Молдовы была не полем конфронтации, а местом сближения Запада и Востока.
