In this article it is specified the role and the importance of the insurances in a national economy of a country, with an alongside identification of the factors which prompted an increasing evolution of the insurances in economically developed countries. The role and place of the insurances in an economy was determined in accordance with the patrimonial risks and the social ones, and with those that are currently marked within the society.
