Rezumat

In this article it is proved the necessity and the importance of the telephone counseling as a distinct form of counseling. We analyze the results of an empirical study aimed to highlighting the personality features of the Hotline counselor. It builds the personality profile of the investigated subjects based on three research techniques. It presents the results of correlation results for all personality factors. The reached conclusion from carrying out the empirical study is: telephone counseling is characterized by high sociability, activism, average emotional stability, asserting its own medium, with high sense of responsibility, very careful, conscientious, conformists to norms, self confident, attached to group values, socially dependent, with high self-control emotions and behavior, often tensed.
