The paper is about the Getae — tribes of Thracian origins, a part of which lived for almost two centuries in the forest region of the forest steppe of the Republic of Moldova. Based on the recent archaeological researches, the monetary discoveries from this period and the written testimonies of ancient authors about Getae and Thracians in general, the author suggests a reconstruction of their everyday life in this region. A special emphasis is placed on the historical events that led to the appearance of the Getae in this territory and especially the ones related to their tragic destiny.

Lucrarea este dedicată geţilor — triburi de origine tracică, o parte din care au locuit, timp de aproape două secole, şi în zona împădurită a silvostepei Republicii Moldova. Luând ca bază noile cercetări arheologice, descoperirile monetare de epocă şi informaţiile autorilor antici despre geţi, şi traci la general, autorul propune o reconstituire a vieţii lor cotidiene în această regiune. Un loc aparte revine evenimentelor istorice ce au cauzat apariţia lor în acest spaţiu şi, mai ales, celor ce ţin de tragica lor soartă istorică.

Работа посвящена гетам — племенам фракийского происхождения, часть которых жила, в течение почти двух столетий, в лесных районах лесостепи Республики Молдова. Взяв за основу новейшие археологические исследования, монетные находки этого периода и письменные данные античных авторов о гетах и о фракийцах в общем, автор воссоздает их повседневную жизнь в этом регионе. Особое внимание уделяется историческим событиям, повлекшим за собой появление гетов на этих территориях, и особенно тем, которые связаны с их тра- гической исторической судьбой.
