The article analyzes various discursive implications of self-irony paradigm, the invidualised form of irony that requires a modernized criticism, recycled and adjusted to self-referential and pluralistic literary discourse. Historical vision shall enable the firmly tracing of the self-irony profile and finally the obtaining of a complete vision of main mutations that self-irony supported over time in space of literary science, focusing the analytical discourse on relevant aspects and subsequent crystallizations. Reconstitution of historic route of self-irony affirmation in contemporary Romanian literature was necessary for broadening of the perspective on this creative method, which clearly and restroratively manifested in poetic texts and for enabling of a profound understanding of its Romanian variants.
