In this study the author examines Eminescu’s opinions about language. They are very close to those of Martin Heidegger: a language is the „refuge” of Being, giving us the certainty
that belongs to a people creating history: „we are not the masters of a language, but language is our master”. The poet makes an essential utterance of Being. The article makes references to arguments provided by Eugeniu Coseriu who claims that there is no „Moldovan language”, distinct from the Romanian language. The author presents the situation of the Romanian language in the Bessarabian area both in the past and present. |
