The guaranteeing of national security is always a current topic for the Re-public of Moldova, because it is a prerequisite for civilian crisis management, sustainable economic development, health and safety of people, complementing and supporting internal and external stability of our country. The success of gu-aranteeing the security in a state widely depends on developing and implemen-ting a security and defense policy, that reflects the interests and objectives to promote the country data. The fact is that security policy must always be revised as changes depending on internal and external conjuncture, it is in continuous mobility. In this article the defense policy is seen as a component of security policy, since the traditional concept of security is not limited to military threats and responses, but is refined to a much larger scale, including the addition of military security and defense, capability of the entity and security policy to en-sure a safe environment, which would contribute to the development of the cou-ntry, to consolidate democracy, stability state, welfare and population develop-ment.
