The article examines the problem of political opposition in the power-state relations. The political opposition is a component of power relations poorly in-vestigated and analyzed in the scientific literature, particularly if the level of re-search to relate the phenomenon of political governance. Political opposition as an active subject and the legal relations of power is a reality of modern and co-ntemporary era, being placed in the democratic power relations. In totalitarian and authoritarian regimes is a loyal opposition or to power and engage politi-cal struggle or are excluded from the political system. In times past historical political opposition was not a modern phenomenon of social structure and legal framework does not provide a different attitude of the official position of political power. The political opposition in the narrow sense refers to the political process involving political institutions of the politi-cal system. Includes broad political opposition and civil society, but rather an attitude towards political power than an autonomous subject of the political process.
