Rezumat

The development of the international society, the steps taken to civilization in recent decades have emerged with greater clarity, including in international documents, the overriding necessity of abandoning the force in the frame of interstate relationships. Following the growing cruelty and the applied new methods of combat during armed conflicts reached the common idea that there is an urgent need to identify methods for total eradication of the use of force and ensuring peace, involving itself: the permanent abandonment of conception of the strongest, the recognition of equal rights for all, regardless of size, economic or military force, peace and security. The achievements in this respect were registered depending on the desire and will of the main actors of the international law – the states – and the historical circumstances that were taken place in different regions of the world. Unfortunately, such noble causes have not been accepted with enthusiasm for a long period of time. Only after two world wars the international community realized the importance of promotion of force forbiddance in interstate relationships and solving the settlement of international disputes and controversies by using the pacific means. Taking into account the realities of the post-war period still many goals exists for the international community that have to be achieved in order to create a world based on principles that do not contain force, violence, cruelty and pain.
