Community development integrates the elements of modern civic culture
edification, based on the understanding of each citizen of the role he plays in
society, on the understanding of the importance of responsibility assuming in
daily activity and the manifestation of personal attitude towards real problems.
The experience of countries that have implemented the principles of community
development proves that a central element of their development was
helping citizens think freely, inoculation of self-confidence, the promotion of
the spirit of participatory democracy. The most relevant example’s the United
States of America.
Data showing how the phenomenon of community development has evolved
in United States of America is a chronology of assertion of the roles that
community members, community organizations, educational institutions and
government play, showing their influence on the development of the country
at regional and national levels. This experience is of a real use, in the context
of the realities of our country. |
