Rezumat

This article analyses the basic image characteristics of the most important political actors in the Republic of Moldova: Serafim Urechean and Vladimir Voronin. The author points out the phases of the evolution of the image pattern of leaders, shows the conditions and factors that entailed some image characteristics. The symbolical space that accompanies the image of political leaders is being paid particular attention to, especially to the political myths, political symbols, political rites, that have one purpose - to strengthen the image characteristics of the above mentioned leaders, to wake up some memories, some representations within the collective unconsciousness in order to favor these political actors. Political archetypes used by the Moldavian political class denote strong archaic and mythical components, the orientation to irrational factors, with a very strong manipulative component, with often appeals to Christian rhetoric.
