Some Moldavian and western experts express an idea that Moldova needs
to change its course of external policy, thinking about a break with Russia,
exit from CIS and fool reorientation to the West. It is approved that the
external policy of Republic of Moldova is oriented mainly to CIS. However,
the reality is another: Moldova is the member of Pact of Stability for Southeast
Europe, WTO; the external financing was blocked out; contacts of our
government with the representatives of the West; strategical course on European
integration was proclaimed by Moldavian government in 2003 and the
signing of Individual Plan of Actions Moldova – European Union in the beginning
of 2005. We consider that equal collaboration of Moldova with The
West and the East is logical, especially when our strategical partner -Russia
is not the opponent of western countries, but automatically became their alliance.
It is important that Russia and NATO don’t consider each other like
enemies. In prospective, on base of NATO, the European system of security
will be created for the first time in the universal history. This system, including
United States and Russia, will consist of all the states from northern hemisphere,
from Vancouver till Vladivostoc, and our country can be aside
from this process or to oppose to one of this sites. |
