Rezumat

Parental training represents one of the directions approached by the social-educational intervention of training type and parents are its direct target. The training of parents and the need to build parental behaviours since early age are often subjects of discussion. Parental training is nowadays a concern in many developed countries and also in other countries. It becomes increasingly more evident the requirement to train parents for the formal/professional decisions and actions which concern their children. The purpose of parental training does not aim to change the specific behaviour or change a defined structure, but it tries to develop the educational competences and skills of community members. Its objective is to support parents, to develop parental abilities and the confidence in their own capacities as well as to improve their abilities to care and support their own children.
