The description of results of the research of emotional-personal peculiarities of teen-aged boys and girls is presented. It is shown that among girls the type of smoking behavior “cigarette game” is dominating, whilst among boys “support” and “relaxation” types dominate. It is revealed that smoking in adolescence is of psychological nature, though some indications of physical dependence appear. There are some distinctions in emotional-personal sphere of smokers and non-smokers but they are not clearly expressed in adolescence.
