Schrodinger initiated the microscopic description of the gravitationally induced particle creation mechanism (PCM) in an expanding universe. After a long gap, investigations carried out by Parker, and Zeldovich and Starobinsky showed that due to quantum e ects particles are created by the expansion of spacetime. |
