The study of vegetal biodiversity on the left bank of Ichel river, upstream Făureşti village. The study area is a natural one, located in the Central part of the Republic of Moldova, on the valley of the Ichel river (right tributary of Nistru). It is a typical rocky place (limestone). As throughout our Republic, the sector had a whole geological evolution throughout the ages and belongs to the Moldavian Platform, whose foundation lies at depths of 500 -1000 m and includes sedimentary deposits of different ages. However, that territory is covered with outcrops of the medium Sarmatian that includes clay deposits, sand and limestone that belongs to the reef group Goian-Cricova-Făureşti. The plant diversity in this area is specific, but unfortunately poorly known. |
