On June, 22nd, 1941 Hitler’s Germany has attacked the USSR. The war caught the Red Army in a state of unpreparedness to actively repel the Fascist hordes. The main reason for this was a miscalculation of the political leadership of the country, headed by I. V Stalin in assessing the situation. The aforementioned political leadership, having the comprehensive data on the policies of Hitler, concentration and deployment of the USSR Nazi troops along the western borders and their readiness to begin the invasion, considered all these messages as provocative aimed at pushing Hitler to war with the USSR. It was written a lot of books about the war but the truth about this historical event hasn’t been revealed until the end till now. Till now the «white stains», distributed in a variety of erroneous interpretation and speculation, false information about the realities of that time and, in particular, the role of the Soviet Union in the unleashing the war by Germany hadn’t been eliminated. Thus, in the 90th years, thanks to the work of the notorious Suvorov, the former Soviet Union, including Moldova, has received widespread thesis about the Soviet preparations for a preventive strike against Nazi Germany. The reason for that became both conscious aspirations to rehabilitate aggressors, and use the doubtful sources or the intended falsification in ongoing researches. This article outlines the arguments that show the failure of the theory of the USSR preparations for a German attack in 1941.
