In order to determine the circumscriptions Chilia, Cetatea Albă and other territories of Moldova, occupied by force by Ottomans, in the literature of specialty the notion of Bessarabia is used. It comes from the Wallachian dynasty of the Bessarabs. The territory seized by the Noghays, first near the circumscription Cetatea Albă, and after 1673 in the area of Moldova to the Upper Traian Wall (in the north) and the river Ialpug (in the west), was called Budjak. |
