| Rezumat | ||||||
Rustic architecture, with all its components, plays the most important role in the life of villagers, and remains the most admirable and significant field of Moldovan popular art. This intimate space contains many symbolic connotations, where the decor and architectural ornament, remarkable by the image of its motives, are the key to interpreting and understanding the world that the Romanian peasant has lived through over the centuries. Reconstitution of the symbolic meaning of the decor and its shape will allow understanding the local archaic conception about life, about the aesthetic vision of the peasant and the characteristics of popular artistic creation. |
