We have chosen as a theme Some theoretical aspects outlined over time in the sphere of child adoption, as we have tried to explain the historical evolution of the institution of adoption.This paper aims to raise awareness and improve knowledge on adoption, children's rights in the Member States of the European Union.The general conclusion that emerges from the research we have undertaken is that both the EU legislation, that of the Council of Europe and the internal legislation reflect the importance of family relations for the child.

Am ales ca temă câteva aspecte teoretice evidențiate de-a lungul timpului în sfera adopției copiilor, întrucât am încercat să explicăm evoluția istorică a instituției adopției. Această lucrare își propune să conștientizeze și să îmbunătățească cunoștințele privind adopția, drepturile copilului. în statele membre ale Uniunii Europene.Concluzia generală care reiese din cercetările pe care le-am întreprins este că atât legislația UE, cea a Consiliului Europei, cât și legislația internă reflectă importanța relațiilor de familie pentru copil.
