T he first sitting of the Assembly of
WIPO Intergovernmental Committee
on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources,
Traditional Knowledge and folklore took
place from April 30 to Mai 3 in Geneva.
The States-Members have indicate 3 priority
subjects for discussion, particulary the
access to the genetic resources and assessment
of profits; protecttion of the traditional
knowledge, innovations and creation;
protection of the folclore including handy
craft. The first general characteristic of
these subjects consists in that the conception
“the general legacy” shall be acceptable to
the genetic resource, traditional knowledge
and folklore. The second general characteristic
is that the above mentioned subjects
keep the object, which is transformed and
developing, out of the ascertained human
intellectual activity logic. The third one -
any subject crosses the domains of the
official and unofficial innovation and
creation. |
