Rezumat | ||||||
The name of Dionysos Thrax
(170-90 BC) or in Romanian Dionisie
Tracul, the author of the first Grammar book
in the world is not found anywhere but in
some encyclopedias.
His name also was not included in the
Calendar dedicated to the personalities for
the year 2000-2001 published by UNESCO.
This omission is more regrettable
if we consider the fact that the Art of the
Grammar written by Dionisie was
the basis of all the European Grammars,
and due to the colonists, of the similar works
edited in America, Africa, Asia and
Oceania. He influenced, at the same time,
Arabic and Jewish works from secondary
schools.
The present article tries to reconstitute, on
the basis of existing information, the place
of Dionisie Tracul in the context of the
Human Civilization. |
