Rezumat

O btaining of certain new varieties of crops which could combine a higher productivity and a stable resistance in correlation with the natural limiting factors is one of the most complicated tasks of the selection. Utilization of ecotypical selection, i. e. selection of genotypes on the basis of already existing varieties, having manifested a higher adaptability to specific environmental conditions, constitutes a promising approach of the problem at issue, being determined by the genetic heterogeneity of the already standardized variety or of the selected lines. The hypothesis is based on the fact that among the already standardized varieties there can be detected genetic sources of stability to both diseases and pests and extreme environmental conditions. It should be mentioned, however, that the method for creation of the improving material just on the basis of common use of the ecotypical selection and of the methods of gametic selection may offer an efficient result. The possibilities of genotype selection in the pollination and fecundation processes have been stated since 1957. Up to date an increasing number of researchers acknowledge the possibility and opportunity of artificial selection of the pollen for increasing the efficiency of the improvement process. Having started with the stated premise, the aim of the carried out experiments was focused on determining the variability of characteristics of the tomato male mature gametophyte in high temperature conditions and obtaining of tomato high-temperature stable genotypes by the method of pollenic selection.
