Background. Information behavior (IB) of users is a research topic that needs to be studied in order to optimize the information process. This topic reflects the way people need, search, manage, use information in different contexts. Objective of the study. Analysis of the specialized literature in order to identify the user's IB models; assessing the link between the user's IB and the degree of satisfaction of information needs; synthesis of the studied articles. Material and Methods. Specialized scientific publications were analyzed, which highlight the theoretical approaches to IB. The research is based on the following methods: content analysis, synthesis, observation and survey (questionnaire). Results. The IB concepts reflected in the literature were identified. Informational behavior of users is determined by the degree of their informational culture. The library must organize the systematic training of the beneficiaries in order to improve their informational culture through different forms and methods. The user's behavior is closely related to that of the librarian. Therefore, the continuous monitoring of the behavior and informational needs of the users is one of the priority directions of activity of the library. Conclusion. The obtained results will contribute to a better knowledge of the informational needs of the users, to the optimization of their training process and to the improvement of the quality of the services provided by the library. |
