Background. Skin ulcers represent the loss of the dermal and epidermal layer and require over six weeks to heal. 95% of skin ulcers are of vascular origin and 5% nonvascular. The first step in the treatment of venous ulcers is the treatment of venous insufficiency, followed by complex treatment. Objective of the study. Familiarization with new conservative therapeutic approaches in chronic skin ulcers, especially vascular. Material and Methods. We have carried out a successive analysis of the bibliographic data of recent years presented in the specialized periodical literature on the PubMed Central, PubMed, Medline, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar Search and Google. We have selected scientific papers published in our country and abroad, which refer best to the issues of skin ulcer treatment and therapy with DibuCell Active. Results. 8 literary sources were selected for the period 2004-2020. Conservative therapy of skin ulcers, aims at proper tissue preparation, infection control, maintaining wound moisture and stimulating epidermal growth. Using the biodegradable dressing DibuCell Active in the treatment of skin ulcers, enhances the epithelialization and regeneration of tissues by direct enzymatic degradation of the dressing in the wound environment. So, it does not require regular replacement of the dressing, and it’s necessary to add an additional layer of dressing once the previous one has been degraded in the wound. The procedure continues until the wound heals, which facilitates the treatment. Conclusion. The new therapeutic approach in the control of skin ulcers - the biodegradable dressing DibuCell Active minimizes the trauma of newly formed granules, reduces the duration of treatment and increases household comfort. |
