The article supports the idea that in order to truly know philosophy one needs to know the authentic sources, ie the original works of philosophers. Lately, it has been spread the opinion that, in order to know the philosophy, it is enough to know only the comments about the works of the great thinkers, which are most often searched and found in Wikipedia. Of course, this practice, which is becoming more widespread among students over time, will become a danger to scientific research, because it educates the subject of research, who must have certain qualities - adequate knowledge and honesty in the research process. The author points out that when the original sources, such as pre-Socratic philosophy, are really missing, then it would be necessary for the researcher to know the commentators of the original texts, and when it is not possible to know all the work of a philosopher, due to the multitude of works, it is possible to use the comments of famous philosophers. |
