The research aims to study the developmental and improvement evolution of the consumer protection institution in the Republic of Moldova in the conditions of Europeanization. The process of gradual harmonization of national and Community legislation since the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement has been initiated. The primary motivation for regulatory convergence with the EU consumer protection system lies in the logic of importing existing systems into the EU against the background of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. The process of consolidating consumer rights in the Republic of Moldova has continued in an upward trend due to the Association Agreement with the European Union. The agreement provides for the harmonization of national legislation with European directives, in order to achieve compatibility between consumer protection systems. The Republic of Moldova has harmonized the national legislation with the European directives and transposed the European standards into Moldovan standards and has reached the stage when it is difficult to fully implement the legislation in force, but also to ensure its regular updating with the new European directives. |
