Emigration is the human face of globalization in the 21st century. All around the world people move from their country of origin to a different nation due to economic, social, political, or another type of strife. Migration provides opportunities for countries and communities to benefit enormously in matters of geopolitics, trade, and cultural exchange. Historically, migration has offered opportunities for millions of people worldwide to create safe and meaningful lives abroad and it has helped improve people’s lives in both origin and destination countries. This article describes some of the emigration models, which occured in the past. |
