Comfort for lactating cows is an important prerequisite for high productivity. Dry animals are no exception. Heifers especially need comfortable housing, which will minimize technological stress and various aggressive manifestations from other cows. The aim of our research is to compare the comfort conditions of keeping heifers for different parameters of the formation of technological groups of dry animals. As a result of the studies, it was found that the separate keeping of heifers on straw bedding contributes to the optimal realization of their biological needs, which means that it provides more comfortable conditions for keeping animals. When assessing comfort, the highest total score was also obtained when heifers were kept separately from cows on straw bedding and amounted to 2.5 points. When keeping heifers in boxes on rubber surfaces, a high score (2.00) was noted when the animals were kept separately.
