Species diversity of nematode communities in permanent crop and crop rotation of 24 years-experimental plots with/without organic and mineral fertilizations have been studied. Fourty four species of plant parasitic and free-living nematodes with density 550 – 3500 ind./1dm3 soil were revealed in the different experimental plots. In permanent crop the number of Heterodera schachtii cysts (cca 1000-2000 and more) were exceeded the threshold of economic damage. The endoparasitic species of genus Pratylenchus were numerous also causing the losses of crop of sugar beet and its quality. Crop rotations with grains and corn in combination with organic and mineral fertilizations effectively reduced population H. schachtii (15 – 20 cysts/1dm3) to below the damaging threshold density. In the experimental plots with organic and mineral fertilizations the nematode species of bacteriovores, which are the natural antagonists of the sugar beet cyst nematode, were numerous. |
