The results of the analysis of literary sources on the assessment, selection and use of mother cows for obtaining bulls in dairy cattle breeding in leading countries are presented. In most countries with a high intensity of milk production, the use of mothers for producing bulls is of prime importance. It has been established that positive results in improving dairy breeds in these countries are obtained due to the introduction of modern methods of comprehensive assessment of animals, taking into account breeding, genetic and economic features. |
