Rezumat

Aim. The article presents the results of the various genotypes sheep wool productivity study. The research was carried out under the conditions of the Experimental Farm of the "Ascania Nova" Institute of Animal Breeding in the Steppe Regions named after M.F. Ivanov. A new breed of sheep with meat productivity is being created at the "Ascania Nova" Animal Breeding Institute. For this purpose, the animals of domestic and foreign gene pools involved. At the same time, in one of the variants, the Ascanian Fine-Fleeced is used as the mother breed, and the Merinolandschaf and Texel are used as the father breeds. We, in a comparative aspect, investigated purebred Merino (AFF) and a cross between Ascanian Fine-Fleeced x Merinolandschaf (AFFxM), Ascanian Fine-Fleeced x Texel (AFFxT). Methods. Zootechnical, biometrics, population-statistical. Results. Indicators of wool clip, yield of pure fiber, length and fineness of wool are given. Clip of unwashed wool showed that purebred ewe-lambs according to this indicator significantly prevailed over hybrid ones by 1.8 kg (p ≤ 0.001) and by 0.9 kg (p ≤ 0.01). In terms of pure fiber, the difference in favor of purebred ewe-lambs was established and it was 0.6-1 kg (p ≤ 0.001). At the same time, crossbred ewe-lambs AFFxT, with an unwashed wool clip of 6.1 kg and a clean one of 3.3 kg, exceeded the AFFxM genotypes by 0.9 kg and 0.4 kg, respectively. In terms of the yield of pure wool, purebred ewe-lambs breeds exceeded their hybrid peers AFFxT by 1.7 kg, and AFFxM genotypes had the same indicator - 55.7%. The study results of the wool length indicate that in crossbred animals of the crossing option the Ascanian Fine-Fleeced breed x Texel, the value of this parameter of wool productivity was 1.8-1.9 cm higher than in sheep of the other two groups (p ≤ 0.01), which practically did not differ among themselves on this indicator. Conclusions. Based on the studies carried out to study the wool productivity of sheep, it can be concluded that, in general, the studied animals have a high level of wool productivity. At the same time, purebred animals have the best indicators for pure wool clip. Crossbred animals are distinguished by longer and coarser wool in terms of length and wool fineness.
