Rezumat

The 18th century, unlike previous and subsequent centuries, did not offer any new developed linguistic theory. Basically, there is an accumulation of things and methods of work described in old ideas, and some scientists (more philosophers than linguists themselves) have expressed fundamental theoretical concepts that have gradually changed general ideas about language. Any linguistic phenomenon, becoming an object of study on a particular synchronous section, should be considered in its diachronicity. In order to study and achieve "a complete understanding of language, we need to deal not only with anatomy and philosophy, its form and functions, but also its ontogenesis, development and historical evolution." The concept of "beauty" in the linguistic field of English language in the 17th-18th centuries will be interesting because it can find the origins of modern theories and opinions on this issue, since "in the early English grammar writers, they must look for the descriptions of the language later elaborated in the descriptive grammar of modern times‖.
