Human security in the context of contemporary dangers and threats. In the article the topic of security is analyzed from the perspective of human being’s interests, reflected in political and social theories and practices. A wide range of dangers, menaces, risks and threats are carefully investigated in the contemporary security studies. The human wellbeing is considered to become a basic fundament for a concept of human security. The connection of human security with human rights and human development is essential for a sustainable impact of such theories on social practice. The absence of threats and fears can assure the protection of basic human rights and fundamental freedoms in the way to build a new and safer world. |
