In the Republic of Moldova an emblem may be registered as an industrial design according to the class 11- 05 provided that it is a sign indicating a society that may be specific accessories of some activities, or a sign that shows the particular notions or ideas. It also subsists a combination of an emblem protection in the composition of which there are included verbal elements registered as a mark; this order take place in the case when the verbal elements are executed with usual letters, without original graphical elements that don’t give to the design a special originality [18, 19]. It subsists also a practice of registration of a mark (the interference industrial design – mark); such registrations constitute 20% of the total number of applications on registration of emblems filed with the AGEPI.
