The educational system has developed greatly in the last 20 years in our country. Teachers start using various modern methods to make their classes more interesting and captivating for learners. The characteristic of these methods is that they are richer than the traditional ones. They allow the teacher to structure the key drills of the lesson and by using different methods and techniques the teacher can focus on the specific teaching – learning – assessing situations. This article reflects the major issue: the descriptors of performance. Students while being tested have to be assessed as for knowledge, as for logical and critical thinking. Students are evaluated according to the capacities of being able to observe, measure, use the information, use the knowledge acquired, accomplish a task, explain an event or a process, use simple procedures, think rationally, investigate, revise, compare and predict. Testing is a form of evaluation that permits accurate assessment, and show no favoritism in grading. The importance of correct descriptors of performance will allow the teacher elaborate a correct performance assessment test.
