Tegular construction materials had an essential role in the development of urban space from Bessarabia in the Modern and Interwar period, defining its architectural framework and urban infrastructure. The documentary research of this industrial sector involves identifying and exploiting new archival sources, some of which entered the scientific circuit now. This approach is com-plemented by the study of inscriptions on tegular pieces, neglected until now by historians. The inscriptions record the name of the factory, the name or mono-gram of the manufacturer and the year of production. By correlating multiple data and information the research will progress and will reveal better the evo-lution of this field, until we have a complete picture of it.
