Andronic Popovici sent him his co-struggler in Bessarabia's hieromonk Isihie Donici with a suitcase full of icons and church books. In the same year, Andronic brought 30 ancient manuscripts, some copied in XIVth century. Since the formation of the monastery, the monks have filled the library with old religious books. Most books are in Russian, which proves the Neamț monastery links with culture and spiritual centers in the East-Slavic. |
