The development of domestic livestock is through the widespread use of the world's valuable gene pool of animals. In modern conditions, the use of intensive technologies makes high demands on dairy cattle productivity, and the conditions of a market economy require increased efficiency of production of dairy cows [1]. One of the most important mechanisms of adaptation is behavior. Behavior is the main function of the body that ensures the process of adaptation of animals to the environment. This is the most mobile and active form of adaptation. Based on the development of conditioned reflex communication and biological rhythms, it not only turns on first, but also characterizes the preliminary preparation of the organism and the expected changes in the environment [2]. Studies by many scientists have shown that the milk yield of cows and their reproductive function are antagonists. With increasing milk productivity decreases the secretion of steroid hormones, resulting in violations of the birth process, folliculogenesis and embryogenesis, and accordingly deteriorates the main indicators of reproduction: there is an increase in the duration of service and interstitial periods, reduced fertility, embryonic survival [4]. The length of the service period, which is affected by the genotype of the cow, the sex of the offspring and the birth of dead calves, can be judged on the reproductive qualities of cattle. The milk productivity of cows depends on the duration of the service period. Herd reproduction is influenced by many factors. This is the feed base, the conditions of the animals, the quality of the seed for artificial insemination. The main task of today in modern dairy farming is to increase the reproductive function of the uterus and obtain physiologically mature offspring. Prolongation of the service period is associated not only with a decrease in calf yield, increase in lactation, but in most cases with a decrease in average daily milk yield [3]. Stillbirths and abortions have a huge impact on herd reproduction. A number of scientists have studied the influence of the type of higher nervous activity on reproductive qualities in connection with the well-known fact of milk productivity of cows of a strong, balanced mobile type. As a result, it was found that animals of the weak type are characterized by an extended service period.Having identified and scientifically substantiated the natural links between the behavior of the animal, its productivity and genetic conditionality of these links, we can determine the economic value of the animal and plan its further use taking into account behavioral reactions [5]. The aim of the work was to study the relationship between the reproductive functions of cows from their behavioral activity. The study was conducted on cows of the Ukrainian red dairy breed of the second lactation. The comfortable condition of animals is conditionally divided depending on the index of general activity into 3 groups: passive, average and active. The results of studies on the reproductive capacity of cows are shown in the table. As can be seen from the table, the most quickly restored their reproductive qualities of the animals of the passive group, this figure is 74 days, the following groups are increasing this indicator. The most rapidly restored their reproductive qualities of the animals of the passive group for 74 days, and accordingly were within normal limits.
