Rezumat

The aim of the research is focused on the obtaining genotypes with superior taste qualities of tomato fruits. As objects of study, served 7 varieties of tomatoes, created by interspecific crosses and in vitro culture applications. Iulihirsutian, Iuliperuan, Anatolie, CerryDani, Jacotă) approved in the Republic of Moldova. Flacara and Mia) were tested at the State Commission for testing plant varieties. The evaluation of the performing varieties was performed according to the most valuable biochemical indices (dry matter content, sugar content, ascorbic acid content, etc.). The varieties Solearis, Elvira, Peto-86 and Novinca pridnestrovia were used as standard. The study of the obtained results demonstrated that the limits of variability of biochemical components content, which determined the quality of the fruits, were very large. Of particular interest was the early average varieties characterized by an increase in the dry matter content, the latter in the variety Iuliperuan increased by 17 % compared to the check variety Solearis and Iulihirsutian by 20 % against the check variety Elvira. These varieties possessed superior qualities of the dry matter content with the variability of 13,3% and 14,1 %. In late varieties Anatolie and Jacota the variation coefficient oscillated between 12,0 to 8,1%. The early variety CerryDani exceeded the check variety Peto-86 by 14,2%. Concerning the percentage of sugar content, the maximum values against the check varieties accumulated the early average varieties. The sugar content of the tomato varieties constituted 5,3 to 7,1% with different values of the variation from 5,9 to 10,6% compared to the check varieties of 4,9 to 6,4 % as well as the coefficient of variation 5,9 to 10,8 %. The biochemical content of ascorbic acid in tomato fruits showed a very high variability. Noteworthy that the indices of vitamin C content in tomato varieties formed the limit of variability of 9,7 to 34,2% compared to check varieties of 8,4 to 24,0%. The results of the investigations showed that local tomato varieties surpassed the check varieties Solearis, Elvira, Peto 86 and Novinca pridnestrovia by the following characters - the dry matter content, sugar content and total acidity. The early medium varieties were characterized by an increase in dry matter content, in the Iuliperuan variety by 17% compared to the standard Solearis and Iulihirsutian variety by 20% compared to the Elvira variety. The percentage of sugar content compared to the control varieties accumulated maximum values of the early medium varieties. The biochemical content of ascorbic acid in tomato fruits showed a very high variability.
